Doubts risen over minimal instances and she struggled within her own mind.
‘Who should I be?’ She shouted and strangely it echoed back, the very same question, seemingly carried upon waves from beyond her. Though what she heard was a whisper, no, rather voiceless release of fear and helplessness.
Tears graced the dryness of her own skin. Traveling down to meet the end of her despairing face and fall to meld with the ocean she called her own.
It began with the first step, then a dash and a plunge into the waters swallowing her whole.
She lost her last breath to a laugh that escaped, ‘I’m so…’ she began.
And with watching the last glimmer of light fade, ‘stupid’, she ended.
